	I've already said several times that this problem does come up
regularly, and will continue to come up. My objection to your proposed
solution is that what it actually does is hide the problem by making
something work that isn't really intended to.

	I'm really disturbed by this response. Directing people to
documentation is not a way of saying, "You're wrong," it's a way of
saying, "Listen, we like your question so much that some really smart
people have taken the time to figure out the best way to answer it, and
then wrote it all down for you." If you really want to make the argument
that we should avoid documentation because it seems like criticism to some
foolish people, we've already lost.
