As root goto /usr/ports/x11-wm/<preferred-windowmanager> and "make && make install". Now, users can create or edit /home/<userID>/.xinitrc . Change the line which says "exec twm" to say "exec <preferred-windowmanager>" If it's one of the full environments (like KDE), change it to say "startkde" instead. Here's mine as an example: $ more .xinitrc xscreensaver & xearth -nomarker -wait 30 & # exec twm # exec afterstep startxfce # startkde $ On May 5, 2002 12:58 am, AMI wrote: > How I can to choose and change Window Manager under X?
