On 2002-08-15, MET scribbled:
# When I do ls -l on the /var/log directory this is what I get ~ no
# Xfree68.0.log
[snip]
# Ideas?
Have you started X on your machine?
Another thing to try is to run: /usr/X11R6/bin/X -version ; On my
FreeBSD workstation, I get the following:
XFree86 Version 4.2.0 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600)
Release Date: 18 January 2002
If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is
newer than the above date, look for a newer version before
reporting problems. (See http://www.XFree86.Org/)
Build Operating System: FreeBSD 4.6 i386 [ELF]
Module Loader present
