I think that documenting something that you have just spent time on figuring out is one of the best ways to make sure that the next person will not have to start over. I would say that if you feel like it, by all means go for it! The documentation team will and all future users of this functionality will be grateful to you for it. If you need help in how to prepare documentation in a format The FreeBSD Documentation Project can use, please see: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/ and if any question remain after that, feel free to ask them here. When you are ready, you can submit the new text either here directly for others to look over and commit, or you can use send-pr in the docs category so that it does not get lost and can be tracked.
