Hi, A short time ago I installed FreeBSD to sparc for the first time, everything has been excellent except when I tried to set the hme interface to 100MB-FD in the ifconfig setup at startup from rc.conf. When I try that the interface goes up and I can ping the localhost and the local IP address but am unable to get any traffic to or from the network, the switch also shows the interface as up but sees no traffic from it. If I on the other hand start the machine without the media and mediaopt flags for ifconfig in rc.conf and run "ifconfig media 100baseTX mediaopt full-duplex" by hand after startup I have no problems and the interface is fixed to that speed and duplex.
