Hi all, On FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE (as of 6/12/2002) sometimes (very often) the cdda2wav hangs the ATAPI CDR. It occures just in the beginning of the session (0%), when nothing is done yet. The processes in ps -axl : 1001 15780 15044 0 -6 0 1528 872 cbwait DL+ p6 0:00.00 cdda2wav -x 1001 15781 15780 0 -6 0 1528 808 piperd I+ p6 0:00.00 cdda2wav -x The relevant line from dmesg: cd0 at ata1 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 cd0: <RICOH CD-R/RW MP7200A 1.30> Removable CD-ROM SCSI-0 device cd0: 33.000MB/s transfers If I do camcontrol reset 2 , I can eject the disk. However, the drive is not revived, and I cannot use it until the reboot. I think (and I can verify it), that if I do atacontrol detach 1 , it makes the system panic. camcontrol reset 2:0:0 and camcontrol rescan 2 both hang. I'll be glad to provide any additional information. Thank you in advance. --Roman P.S. I guess that I'll be needing an in kernel debugger...
