I recently switched my preschool's computers from linux to FreeBSD. So
far its has been a nice smooth transition (expect for a small sound
card issue that has now been resolved). One of the programs that the
kids use quite a bit is gcompris
(http://freshmeat.net/projects/gcompris/?topic_id=71%2C268)
The version in ports is 1.0.5 where as the site is on 2.0. So i grabbed
the tarball and it fails during configure, a problem with libvorbis.

Checking the Makefile from 1.0.5 in ports I noticed
post-patch:
        @${PERL} -pi -e 's|-lpthread|${PTHREAD_LIBS}|g ; \
        s|DATADIRNAME=lib|DATADIRNAME=share|g' ${WRKSRC}/configure

So I thought maybe its a pthreads problem. Well now Ive reached the end
of my limited abilities.

Could someone please update the port, or give me a hand in updating it.
If I can get a handle on this I wouldnt mind maintaining it as it seems
to be a low priority port.

Thank you for any help.

PS: I would love to hear about any other games/programs in the ports
tree for little kids (3 to 5 years old)
