I agree.  And I would be happy to see the elimination of other areas
where we have a hodge-podge of #ifdef's and Makefile magic just to
support crypto and non-crypto cases, e.g. telnet (telnet is the worst,
I think, with no fewer than 4 possible telnet binaries).
