I think this is an interesting idea, but I wonder if you've discussed this
with the isc-dhcp folks? In my experience with dhcp, there are a lot of
things that seem like good ideas, but don't work well in practice for a
variety of non-obvious reasons. In this area, it's good to consult the
experts.
My other question is, have you tested this with a wireless device?
