For the record, I was having the same problem, since upgrading from 4.6-PRERELEASE to 4.8-STABLE yesterday. This is despite having an up-to-date pkg_info that supports -O. Investigation revealed... $ /usr/sbin/pkg_info -q -O archivers/unarj pkg_info: package 8hz-mp3-0.2b has no origin recorded pkg_info: /var/db/pkg/Mesa-3.0b6/+CONTENTS: No such file or directory An rm -rf /var/db/pkg/Mesa-3.0b6 "fixed" the problem, and ports now install normally. -- Matthew Hunt <mph@astro.caltech.edu> * Science rules. http://www.pobox.com/~mph/ *
