If so, is it possible that your mozilla binary is linked against two different versions of a shared library (esp. against an old version in /usr/local/lib/compat/pkg)? Caveat: It is also possible that one of the pre-requisites of mozilla was not rebuilt and linked against the most recent versions of all shared libs. This is just a guess, but since these compatibility libraries gave me quite a lot of pain with other applications, I can image that they might give you some trouble with mozilla, too.
