A couple of things come together:
o  gdb upgrade
o  New kdb framework
o  TLS support + debugging
o  Thread debugging

It would be really cool if we have the right people together so that
we can deal with the interdependencies *and* have it developed/tested
on all our platforms. It's really a lot of work and it helps to have
a couple of people working on it who can discuss the issues face to
face.

This fits in with the above.
