Since I thought that this controller isn't supported anyway (the=20 BIOS-generated mirror isn't detected as /dev/ar?) I suspected that=20 'atacontrol create RAID1 ad4 ad6' just does the same like with two disks=20 connected to "non-raid" controllers (I'm aware that these cheap cards are n= ot=20 really RAID controllers!). When I settle 'atacontrol create RAID1 ad0 ad1' with -current from 07/26 I = get=20 the following panic: panic: duplicate free of item 0xc18ba800 from zone 0xc1435c60(2048) cpuid =3D 0; [thread 100032] Stopped at kdb_enter+0x2b: nop db> trace kdb_enter(c07d2b72) at kdb_enter+0x2b panic(c07ec3cd,c18ba800,c1435c60,c0796c10,c07ec3b1) at panic+0x131 uma_dbg_free(c1435c60,c17cbc58,c18ba800) at uma_zfree_arg+0xe9 free(c18ba800,c0806be0,c1848200,c7c1bc90,c0631df7) at free+0xcd ar_rw_done(c1848200) at ar_rw_done+0x14 biodone(c1848200,c182aa8c,c7c1bcb4,c04b2a9e,c182aa8c) at biodone+0x57 ad_done(c182aa8c) at ad_done+0x2d ata_completed(c182aa8c,c7c1bcd4,0,c07ce006,195) at ata_completed+0x3a2 g_io_schedule_up(c16c7dc0) at g_io_schedule_up+0x67 g_up_procbody(0,c7c1bd48,0,c05c397c,0) at fork_exit+0x98 fork_trampoline() at fork_trampoline+0x8 =2D-- trap 0x1, eip =3D 0, esp =3D 0xc7c1bd7c, ebp =3D 0 --- db> The controller is the 440BX integrated INTEL PIIX4 UDMA33 Let me know if you need more info. And please remove the cmd649 and sil0680 detection since these chips are no= t=20 supported and getting users into big trouble. Also HPT370 needs to be fixed or removed!
