Hello, I am attempting to build linux_mesa3 from ports. I have just cvsupped and rebuilt the index. This is the error message I get: primus# make install clean ===> Vulnerability check disabled ===> Extracting for linux_mesa-3.4.2_2 >> Checksum OK for MesaLib-3.4.2.tar.bz2. >> Checksum OK for MesaDemos-3.4.2.tar.bz2. ===> Patching for linux_mesa-3.4.2_2 ===> Applying FreeBSD patches for linux_mesa-3.4.2_2 ===> linux_mesa-3.4.2_2 depends on file: /compat/linux/lib/ld-linux.so.2 - found ===> linux_mesa-3.4.2_2 depends on file: /compat/linux/usr/bin/gcc - found ===> Configuring for linux_mesa-3.4.2_2 creating cache ./config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for working aclocal... missing checking for working autoconf... missing checking for working automake... missing checking for working autoheader... missing checking for working makeinfo... found checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for gcc... cc checking whether the C compiler (cc -O -pipe -march=athlon-xp ) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables. ===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to ports@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/graphics/linux_mesa3/work/Mesa-3.4.2/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/graphics/linux_mesa3. primus# The packages installed on my system are: ImageMagick-6.0.2.7 WordNet-2.0 aalib-1.4.r5_1 arts-1.2.3,1 aspell-0.50.5_4 atk-1.6.1 autoconf-2.13.000227_5 autoconf-2.53_3 autoconf-2.59_2 automake-1.4.6_1 automake-1.5_2,1 bison-1.75_2 bitstream-vera-1.10 cups-base-1.1.20.0 cups-pstoraster-7.07_1 cvsup-without-gui-16.1h dri-5.0.2,1 expat-1.95.8 fam-2.6.9_6 fontconfig-2.2.3,1 freetype2-2.1.7_3 gaim-0.81_1 gengetopt-2.11 gettext-0.13.1_1 ghostscript-gnu-7.07_11 gimp-2.0.4,1 gimp-print-4.2.7 glib-2.4.5 gmake-3.80_2 gnomehier-1.0_19 gnupg-1.2.5_1 gqview-1.4.3 graphviz-1.12 gsfonts-8.11_1 gtk-2.4.6_1 gtk-engines2-2.2.0_3 gtkspell2-2.0.5_1 help2man-1.33.1 hicolor-icon-theme-0.5 imake-6.7.0_2 intltool-0.31.1 jasper-1.701.0 jbigkit-1.6 jpeg-6b_3 kde-3.2.3 kdeaccessibility-3.2.3 kdeadmin-3.2.3 kdeartwork-3.2.3_1 kdebase-3.2.3_1 kdebase-konqueror-nsplugins-3.2.3 kdelibs-3.2.3_3 kdepim-3.2.3_1 kdetoys-3.2.3 kdeutils-3.2.3_1 kdeutils-klaptopdaemon-3.2.3 koffice-1.3.2,1 lcms-1.13,1 libXft-2.1.6 libao-0.8.4_1 libart_lgpl2-2.3.16 libaudiofile-0.2.6 libcroco-0.5.1 libexif-0.5.12_2 libfpx-1.2.0.9 libgsf-1.10.0 libiconv-1.9.2_1 libidn-0.5.3 libijs-0.35 libmad-0.15.1b libmng-1.0.7 libogg-1.1,3 libpaper-1.1.14 librsvg2-2.6.5_1 libtool-1.3.5_2 libtool-1.5.6_1 libvorbis-1.0.1,3 libwmf-0.2.8.3 libxml2-2.6.11_1 libxslt-1.1.8_1 linux_base-8-8.0_4 linux_devtools-7.1_3 m4-1.4.1 mpeg2codec-1.2_1 nas-1.6 net-snmp-5.1.2 nspr-4.4.1_1 nss-3.9_1 open-motif-2.2.2_2 openldap-client-2.2.14 p5-XML-Parser-2.34_1 p5-gettext-1.01_4 pango-1.4.1 pcre-4.5 perl-5.6.1_15 pkgconfig-0.15.0_1 png-1.2.5_8 popt-1.7 python-2.3.4_1 qmake-3.3.2 qt-3.3.2_2 rpm-3.0.6_9 samba-libsmbclient-3.0.5_1 shared-mime-info-0.14_4 startup-notification-0.7 tcl-8.4.6_1,1 tiff-3.6.1_1 tk-8.4.6,1 unzip-5.51 wrapper-1.0_3 wv2-0.2.2 xorg-clients-6.7.0_3 xorg-documents-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-100dpi-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-75dpi-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-cyrillic-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-encodings-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-miscbitmaps-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-truetype-6.7.0 xorg-fonts-type1-6.7.0 xorg-fontserver-6.7.0 xorg-libraries-6.7.0_1 xorg-server-6.7.0_5 xterm-195_1 zip-2.3_1 The following is the contents of /usr/ports/graphics/linux_mesa3/work/Mesa-3.4.2/config.log: This file contains any messages produced by compilers while running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake. configure:603: checking for a BSD compatible install configure:656: checking whether build environment is sane configure:713: checking whether make sets ${MAKE} configure:759: checking for working aclocal configure:772: checking for working autoconf configure:785: checking for working automake configure:798: checking for working autoheader configure:811: checking for working makeinfo configure:844: checking host system type configure:914: checking for gcc configure:1027: checking whether the C compiler (cc -O -pipe -march=athlon-xp ) works configure:1043: cc -o conftest -O -pipe -march=athlon-xp conftest.c 1>&5 cc1: bad value (athlon-xp) for -march= switch configure: failed program was: #line 1038 "configure" #include "confdefs.h" main(){return(0);} Thanks!
