It builds fine here, even if I set my CFLAGS to a set of relatively strict warnings before invoking xmkmf and/or make: CFLAGS='-O -W -Wall -Wbad-function-cast -Wcast-align -Wcast-qual \ -Wchar-subscripts -Winline -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs \ -Wpointer-arith -Wredundant-decls -Wshadow -Wstrict-prototypes \ -Wwrite-strings' Are you getting compile-time errors?
