Hi all, my X-server frequently freezes after startx or after shutting X down. X shows some normal messages on the screen, but doesn=B4t create a log-file. Then, the system wouldn=B4t respond anymore and I have to switch it off. If it doesn=B4t freeze, X works without any problems. I'm running FreeBSD 5.2.1 on an Omnibook XE3 with Savage MX/IX graphics, XFree86-Server-4.3.0_14 and driver "savage". Option "NoAccel" didn=B4t help. This problem has been present since the motherboard was exchanged. The graphics chip is still a Savage MX/IX. There are no problems with Windows.
