The function pthread_mutex_trylock is not defined at all in libXThrStub.so. libgthread needs this function, so when you try to load the plugin, it fails because it can't find it. In 5.x, the plugin works fine because we end up linked against libpthread, which of course contains pthread_mutex_trylock. Also, libXThrStub is no longer in 5.x (libc provides the stubs now. it also doesn't forget pthread_mutex_trylock). Try the attached patch and tell me if it works. -- Robin Schoonover (aka End) # # Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already # tomorrow in Australia. --Multipart=_Thu__18_Nov_2004_09_40_42_-0700_oerVyIJDv5CbmmU2 Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="Makefile.diff" Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Makefile.diff" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 LS0tIE1ha2VmaWxlLm9sZAlUaHUgTm92IDExIDAyOjMxOjIwIDIwMDQKKysrIE1ha2VmaWxlCVdl ZCBOb3YgMTcgMTI6MTQ6MDAgMjAwNApAQCAtMjcsNyArMjcsOCBAQAogVVNFX0xJQlRPT0xfVkVS PTE1CiAKIEdOVV9DT05GSUdVUkU9CXllcwotQ09ORklHVVJFX0FSR1M9CS0tZGF0YWRpcj0ke1BS RUZJWH0vc2hhcmUvJHtQT1JUTkFNRX0KK0NPTkZJR1VSRV9BUkdTPQktLWRhdGFkaXI9JHtQUkVG SVh9L3NoYXJlLyR7UE9SVE5BTUV9IExJQlM9JHtQVEhSRUFEX0xJQlN9CitDRkxBR1MrPQkke1BU SFJFQURfQ0ZMQUdTfQogCiBwcmUtcGF0Y2g6CiAJJHtSRUlOUExBQ0VfQ01EfSAtZSAnc19zaGFy ZS9fc2hhcmUveGZjZTQteG1tcy1jb250cm9sbGVyLXBsdWdpbi9fJyAke1dSS1NSQ30vcGFuZWwt cGx1Z2luL3hmY2V4bW1zLmMK --Multipart=_Thu__18_Nov_2004_09_40_42_-0700_oerVyIJDv5CbmmU2--
