Hi folks, I bought an optical usb mouse. If I boot with acpi enabled and I plug the usb-mouse in the system hangs immediately. (No kernel output.) If I boot with acpi disabled I had no problems to get the mouse working. System is a 5-STABLE from a few hours ago. dmesg from the mouse: | ums0: Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, rev 2.00/20.00, addr 2, iclass | 3/1 | ums0: 3 buttons and Z dir. | ums0: at uhub1 port 1 (addr 2) disconnected | ums0: detached | ums0: Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, rev 2.00/20.00, addr 2, iclass | 3/1 | ums0: 3 buttons and Z dir. dmesg of usb stuff (without acpi): |< ohci0: <SiS 5571 USB controller> mem 0xdfffd000-0xdfffdfff irq 20 at | device 3.0 on pci0 | ohci0: [GIANT-LOCKED] | usb0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support | usb0: SMM does not respond, resetting | usb0: <SiS 5571 USB controller> on ohci0 | usb0: USB revision 1.0 | uhub0: SiS OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 | uhub0: 3 ports with 3 removable, self powered | ohci1: <SiS 5571 USB controller> mem 0xdfffe000-0xdfffefff irq 21 at | device 3.1 on pci0 | ohci1: [GIANT-LOCKED] | usb1: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support | usb1: SMM does not respond, resetting | usb1: <SiS 5571 USB controller> on ohci1 | usb1: USB revision 1.0 | uhub1: SiS OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 | uhub1: 3 ports with 3 removable, self powered any hints on how I could solve this problem? best regards, Gordon --=20 Gordon Bergling <GBergling@0xfce3.net> http://www.0xFCE3.net/ PGP Fingerprint: 7732 9BB1 5013 AE8B E42C 28E0 93B9 D32B C76F 02A0 RIPE-HDL: MDTP-RIPE "There is no place like 127.0.0.0/8"
