For example if I open myportal: then do File->Save As and open just saved file then images are displayed correctly. Moreover, if I hack galeon's sources and replace default myportal: images with JPEG, then local JPEGs (referred by file://) do not work, but remote JPEGs (http://) work fine. So I think this is not PNG specific, but rather specific for myportal page and file:// URLs. I have no clue on what this can be. Should I ask on galeon's or mozilla's list? -- Oleg Sharoiko.
