I am receiving the following errors on my hard drive. This appears to affect some file in /var/log. My question is twofold. 1) shouldn't ufs notice this sector as being unuseable and mark it offlimites? 2) if not, is there a way to mark it so manually? ad0s1g: hard error reading fsbn 19674311 of 6765124-6765135 (ad0s1 bn 19674311; cn 1618 tn 16 sn 41) status=59 error=40 ad0s1g: hard error reading fsbn 6765124 (ad0s1 bn 6765124; cn 556 tn 74 sn 58) status=59 error=40 ad0s1h: hard error reading fsbn 88412159 of 35809248-35809251 (ad0s1 bn 88412159; cn 7271 tn 64 sn 38) status=59 error=40 ad0s1h: hard error reading fsbn 35809251 (ad0s1 bn 35809251; cn 2945 tn 15 sn 51) status=59 error=40 ad0s1g: hard error reading fsbn 19674303 of 6765120-6765133 (ad0s1 bn 19674303; cn 1618 tn 16 sn 33) status=59 error=40 ad0s1g: hard error reading fsbn 6765124 (ad0s1 bn 6765124; cn 556 tn 74 sn 58) status=59 error=40 -- David Bear phone: 480-965-8257 fax: 480-965-9189 College of Public Programs/ASU Wilson Hall 232 Tempe, AZ 85287-0803 "Beware the IP portfolio, everyone will be suspect of trespassing"
