Hello, I have similar situation. How much memory and processor speed is necessary? Will a PII 233MHz with 128MB be capable of performing this installation? Best regards and thanks in advance. Mats, Malmö, Sweden fbsd_user@a1poweruser.com werote: this is know problem. 5.4 from floppy or cdrom now needs more memory and cpu speed that legacy PC can provide. remove HD from legacy PC and connect it to faster / newer pc to do install, them return to legacy PC to run. -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org]On Behalf Of T.F. I have a ~2GB HD that I was trying to use, 5.4 booting can't locate my HD when partitioning, but 5.3 floppy okay. 2nd: How big a HD should I use? I can't install system+X in that 2GB I just mentioned, by the time it came to X, it just told me that inode is not enough. thanks Best Regards, Tsu-Fan Cheng _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 登記免費的 @yahoo.com 中文電子郵件 @ http://chinese.mail.yahoo.com Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://chinese.mail.yahoo.com _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
