I was upgrading an old machine (P-II 233), and tried to use portupgrade to update the installed ports. However, it is now only building portupgrade's own _index_ for the building and that takes hours already. I know it is a lot of metadata in a lot of files, but this is _really_ extreme. Why is portupgrade so horribly, horribly slow?
