Hi, I'm trying to make my Audigy4 soundcard work with FreeBSD 6.0 beta 4. I followed the instructions from the handbook: $ kldload snd_emu10k1 $ cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices: pcm0: <Creative Audigy 2 (EMU10K2)> at io 0xd400 irq 11 kld snd_emu10k1 (8p/2r/0v channels duplex default) $ dmesg | grep pcm pcm0: <Creative Audigy 2 (EMU10K2)> port 0xd400-0xd43f irq 11 at device 13.0 on pci0 pcm0: <SigmaTel STAC9750/51 AC97 Codec> $ mixer Mixer vol is currently set to 100:100 Mixer pcm is currently set to 75:75 Mixer speaker is currently set to 75:75 Mixer line is currently set to 75:75 Mixer mic is currently set to 0:0 Mixer cd is currently set to 75:75 Mixer rec is currently set to 0:0 Mixer ogain is currently set to 50:50 Mixer line1 is currently set to 75:75 Mixer phin is currently set to 0:0 Mixer phout is currently set to 0:0 Mixer video is currently set to 75:75 Recording source: mic Unfortunatly, I'm unable to hear anything from the speakers when I try to play a soundfile. I've tried both console and X11 (KDE 3.4.2). Can I make this soundcard work under FreeBSD Thank you, Johan
