The USB audio code isn't as mature/complete as we like it to be. In case you know how to apply a patch you can try http://people.freebsd.org/~ariff/snd_RELENG_6_20051009_054.diff on the 6.0 system (cd /usr/src; patch </path/to/snd_....diff; "rebuild kernel"). We don't have a specific change in there which is supposed to fix your problem (at least I can't remember one), so it will be pure luck if this fixes your problems.
