The same happened on i386; I didn't get around to debugging it properly. XF=
ig=20
starts under KWin, does its splash screen, is responsive and you can use th=
e=20
menus, but as soon as you click on one of the tools on the left hand side, =
it=20
hangs. Under twm it's fine. There _are_ a few complaints to stderr on=20
startup, let me install it here and check ...

Warning: Actions not found: StartScroll

I remember that on the machine where it kept hanging, there were _more_=20
complains about missing Actions. Anyway, I don't think this is amd64=20
specific.
