What's the problem? > The problems are the Cons points in my initial post. FreeBSD has always shipped a Fortran compiler. Stripping it out violates POLA. Additionally, the the Ports Collection currently assumes the availability of a Fortran compiler. What happens with cd /usr/ports/math/lapack make install -- Steve
