Try replacing your screen section with something like this: Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Card0" Monitor "Monitor0" DefaultColorDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "640x480" ViewPort 0 0 EndSubSection EndSection Swap the Modes order to find something comfortable. 1280x1024 might be a bit uncomfortable (small text).
