--CE+1k2dSO48ffgeK Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I have been unsuccessful in getting OOo 2.3.1 to work in any of 6.x/i386, 6.x/amd64 or 7.x/amd64 (locally compiled in all cases). In all cases, OOo will start but whenever I go to open a file, the "unpacking file" boxes will appear across the bottom and then the window will freeze (not update) and OOo will go to 100% CPU. The same effect occurs if I specify the file on the command line. Note that the 6.x/i386 has been freshly rebuilt from scratch (no installed ports) so all the ports are consistent. Any ideas on how to resolve this? I've tried triggering a coredump with a variety of signals and OOo appears to go into a loop, continuously receiving the signal. OOo is producing a couple of error messages but I'm not sure if these are an issue or not: turion% openoffice.org-2.3.1 fuel.ods=20 I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale "en_US" paperconf: not found (process:81488): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: gtype.c:2242: initialization ass= ertion failed, use IA__g_type_init() prior to this function (process:81488): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initializa= tion_value !=3D 0' failed (process:81488): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_new: assertion `G_TYPE_= IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed ^C turion%=20 My random collection of make.conf flags is: COPTFLAGS=3D-O -pipe CPUTYPE?=3Dathlon-xp DICT=3DEnglish DOC_LANG=3Den_US.ISO8859-1 DRM_NOLINUX=3Dyes ENABLE_SUID_SSH=3Dtrue ENGLISH_ONLY=3Dyes INDEXDIR=3D/var/db/ports ISPELL_BRITISH=3Dyes JADETEX=3Dyes KERNCONF?=3Dturion MAKE_IDEA=3DYES MAKE_RSAINTL=3Dyes MASTER_SITE_SAMBA+=3Dftp://au1.samba.org/pub/samba/%SUBDIR%/ MASTER_SITE_SOURCEFORGE+=3Dhttp://optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/%= SUBDIR%/ MASTER_SORT_REGEX=3D'^file:' NO_INET6=3Dyes NO_NIS=3Dyes PAPERSIZE?=3Da4 PERL_VER=3D5.8.8 PERL_VERSION=3D5.8.8 TOP_TABLE_SIZE=3D101 USA_RESIDENT=3DNO WITHOUT_CUPS=3Dyes WITHOUT_IPV6=3Dyes WITHOUT_MOZILLA=3Dyes WITHOUT_MUTT_COMPRESSED_FOLDERS=3Dyes WITHOUT_MUTT_HTML=3Dyes WITHOUT_MUTT_XML=3Dyes WITHOUT_RUNTIME_CPUDETECTION=3Dyes WITH_BDB_VER=3D4 WITH_DVD=3Dyes WITH_FAAD=3Dyes WITH_FREETYPE=3Dyes WITH_GIF_LZW_COMPRESSION=3DYES WITH_GUI=3Dyes WITH_JPEGMMX=3Dyes WITH_KDE=3Dyes WITH_LIBDVDNAV=3Dyes WITH_MPG_MMX=3Dyes WITH_OPTIMIZED_BYTESWAP=3Dyes WITH_OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS=3Dyes WITH_OPT_PPRO=3Dyes WITH_SGML_DOCS=3Dno WITH_XANIM=3Dyes --=20 Peter Jeremy Please excuse any delays as the result of my ISP's inability to implement an MTA that is either RFC2821-compliant or matches their claimed behaviour. --CE+1k2dSO48ffgeK Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFHdFje/opHv/APuIcRAkLFAJ48pTv1vQSDDE6+grgcqvIQ9XKBrwCfcFzG cs7dVMUxvTYiScJNwghS7aU= =hZ7e -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --CE+1k2dSO48ffgeK--
