Sorry me again

I've a M-Audio Delta 66 card fitted, its the same as a delta44 but with
2 extra spdif connectors.
It uses the snd_envy24 driver
gb7tf# cat /dev/sndstat
FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm: 64bit 2007061600/amd64)
Installed devices:
pcm0: <Envy24 audio (Generic)> at io
0xec00:32,0xe880:16,0xe800:16,0xe480:64 irq 16 [MPSAFE] (5p:1v/4r:1v
channels duplex default)
snd_driver is also loaded
dm is gnome.
I've stated amarok and used a stream to test it and not a peep out.
the gnome volume control looks nothing like I've seen before.
that card has 16 channels, it only shows one.
and if you select change device all thats there is unknown OSS device.
I could load portaudio and use pa_devs to list the sound devices, but
rather at this moment not load portaudio-v19 as that will be included in
another package, wsjt.
The main reason for leaving linux, MDV2008.1, was lib handling and
linking. So I want to avoid having loaded two versions of the same
package.

Is anyone else using this card ?

Three further questions :
whats the FreeBSD version/equivalent of slocate or mlocate ,
does updatedb need additional params as I get
gb7tf# updatedb
updatedb: Command not found.

And whats the FreeBSD equivalent of lsmod, list loaded modules

I did try to use qjackctl to see if there was any indication of an
active sound module, but it crashed the system and I had to use fsck to
fix it
TIA
