I am running up to date current amd64 and am having issues with the laptop just stopping with no warning and it seems to be due to overheating. If I keep the room temp cooler or keep air circulating under it, it doesn't happen. +ACPI Error (psparse-0626): Method parse/execution failed [\\_TZ_.THRM._TMP] (Node 0xffffff0001212920), AE_NO_HARDWARE_RESPONSE +acpi_tz0: error fetching current temperature -- AE_NO_HARDWARE_RESPONSE +acpi_ec0: EcRead: failed waiting to get data +ACPI Exception (evregion-0529): AE_NO_HARDWARE_RESPONSE, Returned by Handler for [EmbeddedControl] [20070320] I'm thinking that maybe I should change the cpu speed and or other varibles using sysctl until acpi can do it automatically. Any suggestions on variables to play with or other solution? Thanks, ed Maybe this should go to the AMD64 list but I'm not sure.
