I saw that, but I've got a custom kernel without INET6, and X is running fine here. I get the same first three lines of the error message in my Xorg.0.log file My X server is compiled without hal support. Maybe that makes the difference. You could try starting X with 'startx -- -nolisten tcp' on a kernel without IPv6.
