How many CPUs does 'sysctl -n kern.smp.cpu' report? Can you deactivate the MAKE_JOBS_SAFE= yes line (just put a # in front of it) within the Makefile (or use the DISABLE_MAKE_JOBS switch on the command line) and try to build it again? Also, can you send me a list of the installed packages (pkg_info) on that system as well as the output of dmesg (the CPU information are sufficient here), in case the above MAKE_JOBS_SAFE change does not help?
