Ah, the line in the acpi_cpu_mwait function should be read as: cpu_monitor(state, 0, 0); Vitaly, could you test the jkim's patch again with the above line modified? Jung-uk, the MONITOR insn seems to result in GPF if its extensions is anything but zero. # I admit it's very confusing that the semantics of extensions to # MONITOR and MWAIT are different from each other...
