This is probably heresy, but after my last Thinkpad, I got a Macbook and run Freebsd in a Virtualbox VM. It works great. I set it up so X applications in BSD talk to the native MacOS XQuartz server, and the Mac has an NFS server on the loopback interface so BSD can read and write the Mac's files. R's, John
