Right now, tz@ is the maintainer of ports-mgmt/portmaster.

If someone wants to become maintainer, the best way is to
look at the open PRs:

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=portmaster

verify their status and provide patches.
