Is there another way? The list appears hardcoded and no way for the end use=
r to configure.

Well, that is not correct.  QA checks are only run when using poudriere
testport or bulk -t, or when DEVELOPER=3Dyes.  So, while it is true that
such meta port will no longer pass testing, it will not impact a normal
poudriere bulk.
