You are likely to have to start with the following: https://svnweb.freebsd.org/ports/tags/RELEASE_8_EOL/ to get a last-known-working ports infrastructure, and then merge specific fixes from the last 3 years of ports commits that you find you need. Fair warning: IMHO this will be a non-trivial exercise. mcl
