--Sig_/OgVW6OPJ=jpxF_b5YXi0zHE Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I have an older HP Envy model computer that I am attempting to install FreeBSD 13.1 on. The unit is presently running Windows 10 Pro and cannot be updated to Windows 11. I have created a boot only CD and tried to boot-up with that disk installed in the PC. No luck! The machine boots up as usual. For the fun of it, I created a Windows 10 installation CD and tried that out. Upon boot-up the PC immediately recognizes the CD and starts the setup program. Naturally, I exit out of that immediately. My question is why does the PC not recognize the FreeBSD CD? I even made a second disk because I thought the first one might be defective. Does Microsoft have some special magic that FreeBSD is not privileged to? =F0=9F=98=92 --=20 Jerry --Sig_/OgVW6OPJ=jpxF_b5YXi0zHE Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQGzBAEBCAAdFiEELeCiu2K+9VmEYYgTgHBP8gv9FXcFAmKT7Q0ACgkQgHBP8gv9 FXcpQwv+OIOab+N4KhFjJVK2Mt15V4vZ7Ja00VCh2FSr+HjM4TChMewnPELUJDRL P1uV13Q+jQz68QEEtwqt4fKQL4UucxaqCH/u8x3wnVihclx3lRKm6tKv6Q82mVQz q/etVTYnu1ym4rCHOWHYOxhpJHa08eOsSf/Y+iGar3fqia3MnE1/jxdmAFNWOfz/ o9mFKUgqpLrVKOYAZj2iSxa9O1wxpwuvIXxEgc5m7O9xDScTsMcJaN+iQ5cy5HRT CW/ZPfX1iJoAh8M84euh9wrtdRcM5GdncOVVDwyiXDFfPBnJnbO3BiVTOnWYo/I/ pJDNCrGZS0mDwSkZ0LOV0tSop8uA7BY+fPiSK+Jz5nQ9TvfN5X9iI6uHoFzbNpdF nOOMLhloXYQYhDFKbjIUPWvHkXEazj9PU0v6mh4TspSUjE3F6TkxYjgZJ8cL+gE4 YFP699IadVO1aMoxX5k2brcgusj1tb0k6qpDACW6D17UljPqXScdk2T8m4HTRLBW KYbdmqLy =d96k -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/OgVW6OPJ=jpxF_b5YXi0zHE--
