I think the problem is the "difficulty" in getting an ASCII-formatted timestamp in the kernel. If it existed, I'd also timestamp the NFS server messages logged by nfs_msg(). I guess I could write a suitable strftime() for the kernel. The next question would be "what timezone should be used?"
