You can shorten or remove the delay by adding this line to /boot/loader.conf (creating the file if it does not exist): autoboot_delay="0" Even with no delay, you can still get the loader prompt if you're quick with your space bar. However, this can be quite annoying and you'd be well advised to set the delay to at least one second. Ciao, Sheldon.
