The headline alone, I could see as just journalistic exaggeration. But then I noticed the by-line: "Evan Leibovitch, Linux." It is the "Linux" in the by-line that makes me think perhaps the author may not be as neutral as he claims to be. I have now entered my own view in the comment section, in which I explain why I believe ZDNet (and the rest of the Internet) would not even exist if not for the BSD license. I hope they'll post it.
