this is the answer to my own dumb prob. i happen to have to deal with a bunch of Motorola UDS v.3225 modems that came through some gov contract. these modems have their non-default CTS/RTS option listed as \Q3. however "\q" is a CHAT escape sequence. HOW CAN I GET BY THIS! is it even possible? (HINT: STAY AWAY FROM THESE MODEMS!)
