I've found ijppp to be somewhat quirky in calling external scripts, so I'm trying out pppd. Everything seems to work fine, but I get an odd message in the log file (/var/log/messages): CCP: timeout sending Config-Requests --- What's especially puzzling is that I have used my current pppd settings in a previous install and don't recall getting this message.
