Hi, I am still having problems with startx. My error message is <ld.so failed Can't find shared library "libXmu.so.6.0" I ran xconfig and it seemed to run normally. I have a file .XF86Config in root. Now, in trying to get this running, I noticed a couple of things. 1. When I login as root, I get a # prompt. I can then rummage around in the shell, using commands like ls -l and cd. 2. When I login as a user, I get a $ prompt, and the ls command and the cd command don't appear to work. I am assuming that the user shell is empty. I have been cobbling this thing together with the Leahy book as best I can, but I'm starting to get bogged down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
