I'm currently running FreeBSD 3.4 and finally got around to installing a tape drive (hey, backups are good, so I'm told... :-) I opted for installing flexbackup since I don't need to swat gnats with sledgehammers (i.e. Amanda is too heavy weight.) The problem I'm running into with the 3.4 kernel is that it keeps complaining: (sa0:ncr0:0:3:0): tape is now frozen- use an OFFLINE... So I go off and 'mt offline', reinsert the tape, do a 'flexbackup -newtape', only to repeat the cycle. What have I overlooked? -scooter To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
