I am assuming that by "his" address you are referring to your isp?
Anyway, are you sending the proper commands
to ppp upon completion of the connection? most importantly <add default
HISADDR>. Also, are you sure that
the device is even intialized. Do you have IPFW or IPFILTER operating ?
Are all of the necessary configuration files in /etc setup
ie. nameservers, host tables etc. Try and be a little more specific
about your enviroment setup.
