Try to load the module "sg". Sorry, won't help. His bus is hosed. The whole 50 pin -> 25 pin converter thing only works when the scanner is the only thing on the bus. When you start mixing it with other internal devices that want decent transfer speeds, it ends up hosing the bus. In short, I don't think he'll have much luck as long as he has his bus wired the way he does, and the constant PARITY_ERROR messages in the log files are a clear indication that the bus wiring is having problems coping with the combination of bus topology and bus speed. -- Doug Ledford <dledford@redhat.com> http://people.redhat.com/dledford Please check my web site for aic7xxx updates/answers before e-mailing me about problems To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe aic7xxx" in the body of the message
