But there is good stuff in there. Interesting approach. But doesn't this just come back to: make WITH_GNOME=yes package make clean make WITH_GNOME=no package ? But of course this means that the 2 packages (with and w/o) can't be build in parallel. If WRKDIRNAME is hacked it's different. A.
