I set the local in /etc/login.conf according to the FreeBSD Handbook,
but still I get this error. For testing purposes I chose "POSIX/C" as
language in gdm, that made this error go away but didn't improve
anything in Gnome. Still lots of bugs.

Done, when I start Sawfish configuration I get "(rep), uid 1001: exited
on signal 11 (core dumped)"

I will attach my gnomerc-errors again.

The application 'nautilus' lost its connection to the display :0.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application.
