[please cc me in any replies as I'm not currently subscribed to this mailing list. Thank you.] Hello, Even though the port for Netscape 7 is marked as "forbidden", I installed it anyway as it is the only browser that currently has all the features and functionality that I need. I've noticed that the port has not been updated in a while and that Netscape 7 is now up to Netscape 7.02. I was wondering if there were any plans to update the port and to eventually un-forbid it. The Communicator series is seriously out of date, no longer actively developed by Netscape and not really practical for modern web browsing (IMO). I use Netscape because I got tired of "well, if I want to see Flash animations, I have to use *this* browser...if I need the java plugin I have to use *this* browser" and "oh, there is no plugin for this browser." Basically, I'd like to be able to use one browser to do everything I need just as I would in Windows or on a Mac. If Netscape 7 is not going to be actively maintained, does anyone have recommendations for a browser that I can use instead that *will* do everything (including handling Flash, java and audio and video plugins)? Thank you in advance for your time. -Scott To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
